Hungry

Today I was very hungry at 4:00.  An hour is a long, long time when you are starving.  I stared at Jim and Jean.  I gave them my cutest face.  Then I gave them my starving face.  I tried everything and they would not feed me until dinner time.  I finally got my dinner.  Tonight was breakfast for dinner night.  This means I got waffles!

Hiking

Today we took a hike down the Rock Hollow Trail.  It was muddy at the bottom because the river flooded the area.  But most of the trail was high and dry.

Taking Down the Tree

Today Jim and Jean went for a race.  Then we took down the inside Christmas Tree.  I supervised and chewed on my new rawhide.  Then Jean took me for a walk in the neighborhood.

My Hike

Today we took a hike.  We were going to hike the bluffs in Castlewood State Park.  The park was closed because the river took over.  So we went to the Bluff View Trail.  The first thing I did was find some briars to walk through.

We walked to the bluff and had quite a view of the flooding.

We walked along the trail.  It was a nice day for a hike.

When we have to cross water Jim and Jean tiptoe across the rocks.  I just walk through the water.  It is so much easier.  Jim and Jean don't want to get their feet wet.  I don't mind if my feet get wet.

We walked until the water came up to the trail.  Then we turned around and walked back.

We saw this along the trail.   We had a discussion about whether the people who put it there knew about Leave No Trace.

When we got home I had to have my fur brushed then I had to have a bath.  Now I am clean and fluffy.  Jim and I are going to watch some football.

The Garden

Today Jim and Jean went to the Botanical Garden.  Dogs are not allowed at the Botanical Garden.  This is the silliest thing I ever heard.  I am a garden expert.  I helped Jim build a garden.  Then I helped Jim and Jean plant a garden.  I helped them pick vegetables from their garden.  I know all about gardens but I had to stay home alone.  When they got home Jean gave me a treat and took me for a run. 

No Rain

It finally stopped raining.  Jim and Jean took me for a run on the Rock Hollow Trail.  It rained so much that our favorite trail - the Al Foster Trail is flooded.  The Rock Hollow is paved so we didn't get muddy.  I played with my new toys.  Jean gave me my new rawhide and I chewed on it a while.

More Rain

It has been raining every day since Christmas.  I have not been able to play outside or take walks.  I just stay in the house.  Sometimes Jim and Jean throw a toy in the basement.

I love my new toy called a Pup Pop.  TJ and Pat gave it to me.  I carry it around the house.

 Jean and Jim think I am sad because TJ and Pat left me again.  I do miss them very much.  I know they will come get me someday and I will live with them.
