Charlie's Back

This morning Dan came and brought Sparky with him.  Sparky is a little black dog that came to help pour concrete.  Sparky doesn't know how to fetch a ball or do many tricks.

Then Jen came and dropped of Charlie.  She also brought me a big bag of dog food.  I was happy to see the bag of dog food because we were running  low.  Jen loves me.

Jim and Jean left and I had to dog sit Charlie.  But then they came back and we played ball.  Then Jim shared his snack with us.

Back to Work

Jean went back to work in her office.  Jim and I went back to work outside.  We had a lot to do in the yard and garden.  Those darn deer got in the vineyard again.  This does not make Jim happy.  I had a lot of ball chasing to do.  I still am missing my little herd of humans that I had to watch last week.  There were four of them.  That means I got four treats.  Jim and Jean only give me one treat.

My new toy

Country Grandma bought all the grand-dogs a new toy.  It is the best toy ever.  It makes noise when it moves.  I just love my new toy.

Walking with Charlie

Charlie is at our house today.  Jen and John will pick him up tonight.  Then they will bring him back in a couple of days when they go on vacation.  Then Jim will take him back to the farm when Grandma and Grandpa get back from their vacation.  There are a lot of vacations this time of year.  Today Jim and Jean took us for a walk.  We got to get a drink in the creek.

I had so much fun with Becky and Mark and my four human children.  It was hard work but I am a working dog and I love having a job.  I miss my human children.

Vacations

I have not posted my blog for a long time.  Jim and Jean went on vacation.  They went to a national park.  I am not allowed to hike in national parks.  I went to Becky and Mark's house.  I was happy to go there.  I went there in March when Jim and Jean went on vacation.  At Becky and Mark's house there is a small dog named Doodlebug.  I like Doodlebug.  But my favorite is the four small humans.  I just love them.  They are my little herd.  They like to pet me and throw the toy for me and give me treats.  Most days the little humans go to day camp.   They get to swim and play with other kids.  In the afternoon I get in the van with Becky and Doodlebug and we would go to pick the kids up.  I started out in the back of the van but when Becky went to get the kids I jumped to the front seat so I could watch for them.  I was so excited to see my little humans.  In the evening the little humans play with me and take baths.  I help to tuck them in.  I bring a toy to their bed so they can throw it.  I sleep on my bed in Becky and Mark's room at night.  I had a fun time and Becky and Mark's house.  Today Jim and Jean picked me up.  They picked Charlie up too.  Now I am back at home.  I really miss my little humans.

A bath

I had to have a bath.  I don't think I needed one because I went swimming in the creek this weekend.  But Jim gave me a bath with shampoo so I was clean and fluffy.  Then we went to visit grandma and grandpa for a little while.  Then we went to see Becky and Mark.  I was so happy to see them.  I went right to the door when I got out of the car.  When I got in the house I greeted Becky and Mark and went to Doodlebug's toy box and got out toys.  I took a toy to Becky so she could throw it for me.  Then I went to look for the little humans.  I whined because I could not find them.  I missed my little herd of humans. 

Late Dinner

Today it rained.  Rainy days are boring.  Jim and Jean left to go visiting and did not get home until after my dinner time.  I like my dinner at 5:00.  I am hungry.  Tonight my dinner was late.  I didn't exactly starve but I was hungry.
