April 14 - A happy day

This morning everyone got up and rolled up sleeping bags, took down tents and packed up cars.  Then something exciting happened.  I got to stay with TJ and Pat because they don't have to work for a couple days.  I am so happy.

April 13 - More camping fun

This morning Pat made waffles for breakfast.  I love camping and I love waffles and I expecially love waffles when I am camping.  I love sleeping in the tent with TJ and Pat.  Jean wanted me in her tent to keep her warm but I am TJ and Pat's dog so I sleep with them.  All the humans did some fishing.  I just sat and watched.  Then we took a nice hike.

On the hike there was not a creek for me to drink from so TJ poured water in her hands and let me drink some of her water. 

We hiked to a fire tower.  TJ and Jean climbed up the tower but I had to say on the ground with Jim.  I wanted to be with TJ and Jean so much.

Back at camp it is hard work to guard the camp.  I get tired and need a nap.



April 12 - Camping fun

Today we took a very long hike.  We drove to the trailhead then we walked and walked and walked.  I was tired and needed a rest.  I explored a cave and got to get drinks from creeks.

April 11 - a big surprise

You may  have noticed I have not posted a blog for a few days.  I have had a big surprise.  We packed all our stuff including my bed, my food and my leash.  We drove for a long, long time.  I am very good in the car.  I sleep most of the time.  We finally got to a campground and TJ and Pat where there.  I was so happy to see them.  They gave me my birthday present which was a squeaky wine bottle.  I really liked it.  But most of all I like being with them.  I got to sleep in their tent with them.

Cleaning the Pond

Jim and Jean have spent a lot of time cleaning leaves out of the pond.  It is warm enough that the fish are out swimming around.  This morning Jim counted 12 frogs and toads.  The pond is a good place for me to get a drink of water when I am outside.  Today while they were messing with the pond I accidentally dropped my ball in the pond.  Jean got it out with the net then threw it.

Tonight Jim told me I needed to take a shower.  I immediately rang my bell to go outside.  When Jean told me to go to the bathroom I tried to hide in the basement, then I tried to hide in the office.  She made sure I went to the bathroom.  Now I am clean and fluffy.

Running

Today we went for a run.  It is really getting hot.  Jim and Jean stopped and let me get a drink from a little creek a couple of times.  I wonder why they don't help themselves to a drink from the creek.  When I got home I needed a nap.

I like spring

I like spring because we spend a lot of time outside.  When we come in I like to take a nap.  When Jim and Jean are in the same room, I nap wherever they are.  When they are in different rooms, I nap in the hallway.
