A good Saturday

This morning we got up early.  Jim and Jean went for a race.  Jennifer went for the race too.  She came back to the house first and took a shower because she had to go to a meeting.  Jim and Jean came home then Jen left. 

Next Jim and Jean put me in the car.

We went to the trail for a nice hike.

We hiked a trail up the bluff that I had not been on before.  Then we came home.  We had lunch on the deck because it is a nice sunny day.  Then Jim and I took a little rest in the sunshine on the deck.

 I was helping Jim outside and our friend Larry came over to check on his deer blind.  He can't hunt right now because hunting season is over but he is going to come back next year.

They threw the ball for me.  I had a good Saturday.

Helping Jim Again

No rain today. I helped Jim outside most of the day. 

The weather is getting warmer and the flowers are starting to bloom.

When I have had a busy day I put myself to bed early.  I just tiptoe into the kitchen and go to bed. 

Rainy Day

Today was a wet, rainy day.  Jim and I did what we do best - took a nap.  Life is good.

Snack Time

I have been working very hard outside with Jim every day.  I get breakfast and dinner every day.  My breakfast and dinner is Dog Chow in my bowl.  I always have fresh water in my bowl.  At lunch time I go to the right side of the pantry and wait.  I know that this is where my dog treats and my own jar of peanut butter are kept.  I get a dog treat with peanut butter.  Then I go stand by the fridge.  This is where special treats are kept.  When Jim and Jean go out to eat sometimes they bring home treats for me like bones or meat scraps.  Today Jim told me there were no treats in the fridge for me but I stood there anyway.

Working Hard

Today I helped Jim in the vineyard again.  He finished trimming his grapevines.  He had a photography customer come for a  portrait.  I had to help Jean in her office while the customer was here.  I don't like closed doors.  I whined because I wanted to help Jim.  I am a good photography assistant.  Then I went for a four mile run on the trail with Jean and Jim.  I am exhausted.

Quality Time

Today I spent quality time with my humans.  We were together all day.  After breakfast we got in the car.  I like to rest my chin on the back seat headrest.

We drove to the Rock Hollow Trail and took a nice long walk.

I like to get a drink from the creek.

When we got home we got home we had lunch.  Then Jim brushed me and trimmed my long hairs.  I am beautiful.  My butt hair and ear hair gets too long.

Then Jim and I spent the whole afternoon outside working on the vineyard.  Jim was trimming the vines.

Then we had barbecue pork for dinner.  I got some scraps.  It was delicious.  It was a good day with my humans.

Home Alone

Today Jim and Jean went for a race.  They gave me breakfast then left me home alone.  They came home after lunch and hung out a while then left me home alone again when they went out to dinner.  That is okay because Jim brought me home some pork chops.
