My yard

I have a very important job.  I have to keep track of what is going on in my yard.  When Jean let me out tonight I ran up the hill in the front yard.  I knew there were deer and turkey there earlier.  I saw them through the window.  They were gone but I need to go sniff around because it's my job.

The Farm

Yesterday morning we packed and drove to Fredericktown.  I like going there because Grandma and Grandpa are there.  They know how to feed a dog.  I get canned dog food and waffles!  In the afternoon I had to stay outside with Lady.  It was a nice day but I wanted to be inside with my humans.  Tiffany came and brought Dale and Tammy with her.  Then the humans all went out to dinner.  They left Tiffany in the house.  They left me on the back porch and Lady was outside.  I am a very smart boy.  I opened the back door and went outside with Lady.  I was good and stayed by the house until the humans came home.  Then I got to come inside where I belonged.  I slept on the porch.  They locked the door this time so couldn't get out.  Grandpa has a new donkey named Amos.  Now there are two donkeys and one horse there.  Jane is the horse.  She has a pet donkey.  Granny calls it HeeHaw.  Jean calls it Tarzan because it goes with Jane.  Poor Amos need a friend.  Amos stepped on my foot.  I yelped but I'm okay.  Today we got in the car and came home.

Larry

Larry came today to see me.  Larry is my friend that came and hunted.  He can't hunt any more because hunting season is over.  Larry is a quiet hunter.  He does not shoot a gun.  I do not like guns because they are noisy and they scare me.  Larry sits quietly in the tree and has a bow and arrows.  He is a very quiet hunter.  I like Larry.

Company

Tonight Charlie came to see us.  He brought Jen with him because he can't drive and it's too far to walk.  John was out of town so he couldn't come.  We helped Jean and Jen in the sewing room then they went home.  It was good to see Charlie.

My Day

Today I helped Jim exercise again.  He threw the toy so I got some exercise in myself.  We did not go for a walk or run at lunch because Jean had conference calls.  Then before dinner Jean wanted to go for a walk.  Jim said, "It is could and windy outside".  Jean said, "That is why we have down coats and wool hats."  We went for a walk and it was wonderful.  A little cold air never bothered me.

Helping Jim Exercise

Jim likes to exercise on his exercise machines in the basement.  I always help him.  I bring him a ball or toy so he can throw it and exercise his arms.  Today Jim and Jean took a run and left me at home.  I was very sad.  I watched them out my window when they ran up the hill.  It rained and the floors were just mopped and they didn't want me to get all dirty.  I watched out the window until they came home to play with me.

Cleaning Day

Today Jim mopped the floor.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  I stayed outside because he does not like puppy footprints all over the clean floor.  We took a walk and lunchtime.
