Busy Saturday

Charlie spent the night last night.  This means that Jim and Jean slept with their door closed.  I slept in the hall outside their door and so did Charlie.  They got up early to go for a race.  In the afternoon we played outside.  Then Jen came and picked up Charlie.  Jim and Linda and Jane and Bill came over and we all had a fire in the fire pit.  The humans ate some-mores.  I did not get any.

Jim has two hands so he can pet two dogs at the same time.

Watching Charlie

This morning we got up early while it was still dark.  Then Jen came and dropped off Charlie.  Jen and John have to go to Jefferson City to coach their cross country teams at the state meet.  I am dog sitting Charlie.  First we helped Jim with his exercises.

Then Jim had some photography customers come for pictures.  Jim put Charlie and me in Jean's office and closed the door.  I did not like this much.  I like helping Jim with pictures.  I stared at the door and whined.

We helped Jim outside all afternoon.  Jim cut firewood.  Charlie tried to catch a chipmunk in the wood pile.  I supervised.  We had early dinner because Jim and Jean went out.  I had to watch Charlie by myself.  Charlie is easy to watch.  He was tired after spending all afternoon outside.  Then Jim and Jean came home and gave us a treat and it was bed time.

Rainy Day

Today there was rain.  There was not thunder so I was not scared but we did not get to work outside.
I just helped Jim in his office.

I kept a good eye on Jim to make sure that he was not working without me.  We had a conversation about dinner time.  This daylight saving time being over is no good.  My dinner is an hour late every night.  I try to let Jim know I am starving.

Then I watched Jim take a nap. 

More Work

I helped Jim outside all afternoon.  I work so hard.  Then Jean played with me in the basement.  I have a good life here but I am waiting for TJ and Pat to come and get me. 

Clock changes

Jim and Jean changed their clocks this weekend.  What this means is that it is almost dark when I get my dinner.  They do this a couple times a year.  I am starving by the time they give me my dinner. 

I spent all afternoon outside with Jim.  I was starving when we came in.  I wish they would change their clocks back.

Cleaning Day

Monday  is cleaning day.  Cleaning day is boring for a dog because cleaning is not really dog's work.  Then in the afternoon I went outside and helped Jim.  He was painting the cracks in the driveway.  It was a nice day.

Waffles for Breakfast

Today we had waffles for breakfast.  We have not had waffles for a long time.  Jean can never finish all of hers so she gives the rest to me.  I just love waffles.
