A Busy Day

This morning Jim and I went outside to do some work.  Then when we came in Jim changed his pants and shoe and got his car keys.  I parked myself in the hall outside Jean's office.  But Jim told me I was going to go with him.  We got in the car and drove away.  It was a trick.  He took me to the vet.  I don't much like the vet.  I guess he is a nice man but he sticks needles in me.  I do not like getting up on his table at all.  I had a shot and a blood test.  They weighed me and I am perfect.  Then we went to the bank.  We stay in the car and go through the drive through.  The bank gave me cookie!  I like the bank.  When we got home Jim changed back to his work pants and shoes and we went outside to mow the grass.  Then after dinner Jim and Jean took me for a walk.  I am exhausted after my busy day.

The orchard

We have an orchard out by the vineyard.  Today I helped Jim plant an apple and a nectarine tree.  This is very hard work.  First Jim digs a big hole.  I don't dig.  It would make my paws dirty which is frowned upon.  Then Jim put the tree in the hole and filled it up.  Then he watered it.  I watched him to make sure he was doing it right.

My Saturday

I forgot to post my blog yesterday.  Sometimes we get busy.  Yesterday Jim and Jean packed their backpacks and took me for a hike in Castlewood State Park.  When TJ and Pat put on their backpacks we always set up a tent and spent the night.  Jim and Jean just took me for a hike then we went home.  I think they are practicing walking with their packs.

Daytime naps

Sometimes Jim and I take naps in the middle of the day for no reason.  We are hard working men and we can do whatever we want.  If we want to take a nap we can.  Life is good.  Jean doesn't take naps because she has to work in her office all day.

Jim's Golf Day

Today Jim played golf.  He got up early and fed me breakfast and left for most of the day.  I was stuck here with Jean who was working in her office all day.  She did give me a treat at lunch and took me outside a couple times.  It was mostly a boring day.

The fence

Today I spent most of the day outside helping Jim.  He is changing the fence so that the deer cannot crawl under it.  Jim works very hard on his vineyard and fence.  I mostly watch him and chase the tennis ball.

Today I heard Jim talking.  Something exciting is going to happen.  I am going to visit my herd of four little humans.  I have missed my little herd.  They are great fun.

Normal Day

Regular day.  Breakfast.  Jean worked.  Treat for lunch.  Jean worked.  Dinner.
